Visit from the South Korea

     On Wednesday, October 25, 2023, the 5th Special Forces Regiment (5th SFR) honored significant guests with their visit. The Commander of the regiment, Colonel Peter Žochňák, personally welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Slovakia, Mr. Byeongdo Lee, along with the Korean military attaché, Colonel Kyong Jeong-ihn.
     During this visit, the regiment's Commander had the opportunity to introduce the mission, main tasks, and structure of the regiment to the guests. In the words of Colonel Žochňák: 'This is historically the first visit of the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Slovakia, as well as the Korean military attaché, to the grounds of the 5th SFR.' The guests were also briefed on the regiment's weaponry, and they confirmed their visit with an entry in the chronicle and a friendly gathering at the club.
